Live Your Tuscan Dream

Traditional architecture blends with modern amenities in this charming 18th century stone villa.   With two spacious bedrooms and a double sofa bed, the villa can easily accommodate a family eager for some quality time together or friends who are excited to explore the delights of Tuscany. Nestled on a quiet hillside, the villa offers a stunning private infinity pool (5m x 10m), which is set in attractive gardens and surrounded by a spacious sun terrace, furnished with loungers and an umbrella. Imagine spending a warm afternoon leisurely swimming or relaxing with a book while enjoying the panoramic views of the hilly countryside. Wander up the stone steps from the pool, noticing the delightful scent of sweet lavender, to the covered terrace where you can lounge comfortably on the sofa or enjoy an unforgettable al fresco meal at the dining table. As the evening approaches, this is the perfect spot to indulge in some local wine and cheese while watching the breathtaking sunset over the mountains. For those who enjoy cooking, head over to the adjacent stone terrace to pick some fresh Tuscan herbs that you can use to prepare a delicious meal on the outdoor gas grill.

Stepping inside, the villa manages to feel luxurious while maintaining its rustic charm. Traditional beamed ceilings, exposed stone walls and brick archways merge effortlessly with contemporary furnishings and lighting. The open-plan design of the lounge and dining area creates a spacious, relaxing feel which is complemented by comfortable furniture, including a sofa bed.  The kitchen has every modern amenity, all the necessary fittings to prepare a delicious meal, and an updated breakfast bar.  Nearby, there is a WC that includes a washing machine. The bedrooms, which are reached by an impressive stone staircase with skylight, have a cozy, contemporary style with pops of color and relaxing super king size mattresses (180cm x 200cm).  Both bedrooms have easy access to two newly renovated bathrooms with showers, with one ensuite.  Importantly, there is air conditioning throughout the villa and the bedrooms have mosquito screens to enjoy the cool evening air.  There is complimentary high-speed wireless internet and satellite television.

A short 10-minute drive from the villa is the walled, hilltop town of Volterra, inhabited since 800 B.C. and known for centuries for its production of alabaster.  Strolling down the cobblestone streets, one can appreciate the medieval architecture, including the oldest town hall in Tuscany, and feel transported to a different time.  The town retains its historic charm while offering a range of delightful shops, delicious restaurants, and interesting museums.  For wine lovers, Volterra is ideally located between two of the most notable wine regions in Italy, Chianti and Bolgheri.  A scenic, one-hour drive either east or west and there is access to numerous world-class wineries.   For those who enjoy relaxing at the seaside, the sunny Tuscan coast is just over an hour away.  Also, the historic cities of Siena (59 km/37 mi), Pisa (64 km/40 mi), Lucca (73 km/45 mi), and Florence (83 km/52 mi) are close enough to make a perfect day trip.  Importantly, Villa Cantucci is easily accessible from two airports, Pisa (PSA)- Galileo Galilei ( 61 km/38 mi) and Florence (FLR) - Amerigo Vespucci (82 km/51 mi).
